The history of Fiorano
A town famous for its figs
Navigation
Immersed in the heart of the Ceramics District, visitors to Fiorano Modenese have been greeted for centuries with the domes of the baroque Sanctuary protecting the Old town on the hill.
The town develops along the ancient Via Claudia, with its numerous country villas and churches, where the roar of the engines on the Fiorano Circuit can be heard among the walls of Spezzano Castle, the ancient manor of the noble Pio family, but does not disturb the peace of the Salse di Nirano Nature Reserve, where the sound of the mud bubbling in the cones acts as a counterpoint to the calls of the wild animals that inhabit the area.
